To organize the activities of the Statue of Responsibility Foundation, we have staff currently based in Utah. Once the location for the monument is secured (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle), and land is acquired, the Foundation will establish a staffed office in that community. Overseeing the staff is our Board of Trustees.
Our two Honorary Advisory Councils, eighteen Steering Committees and Volunteers At Large, all offer new ideas, create ‘buzz’ about the monument project, and provide invaluable advice, support, and energy to the Foundation.
Once the monument is dedicated and is open to the public, the advisory councils and steering committees will be dissolved – their work being completed.
It is good to reflect on the objective of the Foundation regarding organizational issues, which can be stated as:
“Our objective is not to build an organization, per se.
It is however, to organize people..,
to build a monument.”
